Toko commissioned a hyper-realistic Border Collie costume, according to The New York Post. The video was filmed a year ago, but it appeared on Toko’s YouTube channel just now. In a pair of surreal videos, Toko, wearing a dog costume, walks and “talks” to real dogs in the park.
A Japanese company that makes costumes for TV commercials and movies spent 40 days making a Collie for A$22,000. “Modeled after a collie dog, it replicates the appearance of a real dog,” a company spokesperson said.
The dog-man’s debut came during the filming of a story for a German television channel, and it was unclear whether those around him understood that he was not dealing with a real dog.
Toko hides her identity. “I don’t want my hobbies to be known, especially among the people I work with,” he told the Daily Mail last year.
