Sports journalist Pepe Domingo Castaño died this morning at the age of 80, as reported by the Cadena Cope program ‘Tiempo de Juego’ on his X (Twitter) account. The popular radio presenter has sadly died at the Zarzuela Hospital in Madrid, surrounded by his loved ones, as explained by the station. “The radio will never sound the same without you,” Tiempo de Juego has said goodbye to its presenter, who was previously a journalist also on Ser and on TVE, and who was born in October 1942 in the town of Lestrove in A Coruña.

Pepe Domingo Castaño, one of the most recognizable voices on the Spanish airwaves, was one of the main hosts of the program Tiempo de Juego, Cope’s sports space.
“The day we never wanted to come has arrived. This morning Pepe Domingo Castaño died at the age of 80. We don’t know what to say because Pepe was everything to us,” the program Tiempo de Juego has published on his X account (former Twitter).
“This family will never beat the same again without you but, for you,” they say goodbye from the social network. “We still don’t know how we are going to do it but we will continue to fill the void we left with life and radio. We love you Pepe, we love you and we will always love you as you have taught us, with joy and united,” underlines the message published by Tiempo of game.
