As indicated on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter, blocked in the Russian Federation), the emergency occurred at three in the afternoon on Sunday.
“At the end of the race, two planes collided upon landing and both pilots have been confirmed dead,” the association said, adding that no spectators were injured.
The National Transportation Safety Board, the United States Federal Aviation Administration and local authorities joined the investigation into the causes of the incident.
