The price of the new car, the publication notes, increased by 1.1 percent, to one million five thousand rubles. In total, the cost increased 4.4 percent during the year.
Products of the foreign automobile industry also increased in price, up to 2.1 percent monthly and 18 percent annually, up to two million three hundred thousand rubles.
It was previously known that sales of new passenger cars in Russia in August 2023 increased by 2.6 times compared to August last year and amounted to 109,700 vehicles.
It was also reported that Chinese cars were replacing foreign cars coming out of Russia, but not all buyers accepted this alternative. In his opinion, the quality of the Chinese automobile industry has improved, but car prices are too high.
