According to him, last night preventive strikes were carried out “on the military installations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Nikopol and Marganets.”
“These attacks dispelled for some time the enemy’s plans to force the Dnieper,” Rogov was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
He added that for the operation to force the remnants of the former Kakhovka dry reservoir in the Energodar area and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the enemy is gathering forces on the right bank of the Dnieper at Nikopol and Marganets, from where he planned to start the operation.
The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, near the city of Energodar, and in October 2022 it became the property of the Russian Federation. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the kyiv regime seeks to create the appearance of a threat of nuclear catastrophe by continuing to deliberately fire at the ZNPP.
