Repair and maintenance of power transmission lines is one of the key areas of the trunk power company’s production schedule. In preparation for the upcoming heating season, Rosseti Tyumen specialists replaced more than 11,000 insulators, almost 2,000 supports, 32 km of ground wire and 86 km of cable, and also installed more than 2,000 bird protection devices (PZU ).
Every year Rosseti Tyumen pays great attention to cleaning the protection zones of power lines from weeds and bushes, as well as maintaining the standard width of the gaps. For six months, these preventive measures covered an area of about 2,000 hectares, which is 30% more than the planned volume.
It should be noted that Rosseti Tyumen is carrying out a comprehensive preparation of electrical installations in the Tyumen region, Yugra and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug for the autumn-winter period. Over 6 months, electrical engineers completed more than 60% of the annual volume of planned activities on power transmission lines. Before the start of the heating season, specialists will repair another 500 km of power lines. Timely preventive measures will ensure reliable power supply for 3.8 million residents and several trunk companies.
