The center features 15 exhibits covering key areas of the smart city concept. Among them is a human silhouette detector developed by NSU employees for Rostelecom as part of a collaboration on the national Digital Economy project.
NSU employees told the guests that the principle of the solution is an analytical algorithm: computer vision identifies the silhouette of a person, analyzes his behavior and tracks his movements, even among a crowd of other people. The introduction of the technology will ensure order in public gardens, parks, sports and cultural facilities, bus stops, and in medical and educational institutions.

The Siberia.PRO competition is a key media event in the region and has been held since 2006 with the support of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District. Hundreds of journalists take part in it every year. The winners participate in the Siberian Media Week.
