Rules of life change editor-in-chief

Date: July 27, 2024 Time: 06:14:47

Sergey Minaev leaves the post of editor-in-chief of Rules of Life (formerly Esquire Russia), moving to the post of editorial director of the publication. He talked about this on his Telegram channel. Trifon Bebutov, former editor-in-chief of Afisha Daily, becomes the new editor-in-chief and digital director.

Minaev noted that about a year ago he and the editors launched the Rules of Life magazine from scratch. Earlier this year, he began the creation of two new areas: a full video production and a conference room.

“It is impossible to play all three pianos alone, there are only twenty-four hours in a day. New directions require new professionals and a new management structure,” Minaev explained about the personnel changes.

He noted that Trifon Bebutov began his career in the media at the same time “with his release in Esquire, then he directed Afisha, began to shoot docks,” and now the journalists decided that “it’s time to join forces.”

“In my new position, I will be involved in the strategic development of our brand, together with the new editor-in-chief, we will oversee the magazine, develop and produce our video formats, which of course does not negate my involvement in all other ongoing projects of the project,” Minaev said.

Bebutov commented on his appointment as follows: “There are many things ahead, we will rebuild all the digital content of the publication: from website themes to educational videos, films and series. And of course we are going to build a great offline. Together with Sergey Minaev, we will continue to develop the print version of the magazine”.

Recall that on March 10, the American conglomerate Hearst revoked the licenses of Independent Media for the release of the Russian version of Esquire and other magazines. They continued to appear in Russia under new names.
