Shoigu arrived at the company on Friday morning as part of a work trip to the Primorye region.
As explained in the military department, first of all the minister inspected the progress of the construction of the floating dock complex, and also observed how the repair and modernization of nuclear submarines is progressing within the framework of the state defense order.
The minister also listened to the report of the director of the company, after which he drew attention to compliance with the schedule for the execution of the state defense order.
“The head of the department demanded the maximum use of Zvezda’s production capacity to complete the repair and modernization of the submarines,” the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
Recall that the shipbuilding complex “Zvezda” is the leading company in the repair of submarines of the Pacific Fleet and the only plant in the Far East specialized in the repair, re-equipment and modernization of submarines with nuclear missiles.
