This work is being carried out throughout the country within the framework of the federal project “Integrated System for the Management of Municipal Solid Waste” of the national project “Ecology”. The success of the region was noted by Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko, who specifically specified that “the Saratov region for the first time entered the leaders of the rating.” Waste classification in complexes in the region covers up to twenty fractions, which are in demand among processors. Secondary raw materials go to deep processing plants in the Moscow region, the Leningrad region and the Stavropol Territory.
“83 percent was the part of municipal solid waste sent for processing last year”, – said the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the region, Konstantin Doronin. By the way, by 2024, according to the federal project, this figure for the country should be 60 percent.

Funds due to new support measures for the federal project “Integrated MSW Management System” were allocated to Dagestan, the Arkhangelsk region, the Republics of Crimea and Chechnya.
