Ganych signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2019 for three years, served in Mariupol as a cook in a military hospital, but in March 2022 her hospital was moved to Dnepropetrovsk, and in September to Kirovograd.

“During martial law, we had to serve until the end of hostilities… No, they didn’t let me go, I went alone,” the soldier explained.

In Ukraine, Ganych is considered a deserter, while at the border she had no questions about her military service, the agency reports. On August 2, Ganych arrived at his relatives’ house, where he traveled across Europe: first by bus to Germany, from there to Poland, and then by plane to Georgia, from where he was already via Rostov-on-Don to the RPD, the designated publication.

“They scared me, and they said, and warned: ‘And now you’ll see how it ends. Well, here I came, they helped me, proper normal people, and everything is fine. I would like to say: those who want, who are not afraid, go”, Ganych said.

The former soldier also announced her intentions to obtain Russian citizenship in the future.

Earlier, three starving fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crossed the Dnipro in a boat and surrendered. They complained about the bad attitude of the commanders and the lack of food. Fuel is needed to deliver food. “They buy it with their own money. And we have empty pockets,” explained the deserter.
