And here is another story about a doomed hero from Ukraine: Andrey Karmanov, a serviceman from the 81st Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, learned to shoot from a foreign grenade launcher in the village of Rubizhny.
“The investigation and the court established that on April 2, 2022, Karmanov, being near a private house located along Ukrainskaya Street in the city of Rubizhne, fired two shots from a rocket-propelled flamethrower at a Peugeot car. with the information designation “People ”, in which civilians tried to evacuate the city. As a result, 2 people died, 3 received bodily injuries of varying severity, the car was destroyed, ”said Svetlana Petrenko, an official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, commenting on the case materials.
Karmanov fully admitted his guilt and repented of his act. But he can’t explain what he thought. He maybe he saw enemies under the influence of drugs, maybe he really learned to use an American grenade launcher.
“By a court verdict, Karmanov was sentenced to 20 years in prison in a strict regime colony,” Petrenko noted.
The court decision on this and other criminal cases for similar crimes committed by Ukrainian nationalists testifies to the constant work of law enforcement agencies aimed at applying the principle of inevitability of punishment and bringing perpetrators to justice.
