According to the publication, after the first verification of the recording of a conversation between German officers about the attack on the Crimean bridge with Taurus missiles, the military department became seriously concerned about how it got into the hands of the Russian media. At the same time, the magazine points out, the Ministry of Defense assumes the fact that the audio version is authentic.
Thus, according to the initial analysis, counterfeiting using artificial intelligence is practically excluded. According to experts, the German Air Force officers were quite careless during the discussion: they did not communicate via a secure line, but via the WebEx platform, which was relatively easy to spy on.
The German Federal Military Counterintelligence Office is currently investigating the incident. However, there is a suspicion that the Russian side could take advantage of the internal communication channels of the Air Force, the Bundeswehr or the Ministry of Defense itself, the publication states.
Recall that yesterday the chief editor of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and the RT television channel, Margarita Simonyan, published a transcript and an audio version of a conversation between Bundeswehr officers about the attacks on the Crimean bridge.
A little later, the Bild newspaper wrote that much of this recording suggests that it is genuine. At the same time, the publication added that the Bundeswehr attempted to “limit the damage” by blocking accounts in Germany on the social network X that were distributing a recording of a conversation between German military leaders.
