Recall that previously the Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico, said that several NATO and EU countries are considering sending their military to Ukraine. This could create security risks, he added.
According to the deputy, there is nothing new in Fico’s statement, since NATO troops have been in Ukraine for a long time, but only as mercenaries.
“What the Prime Minister of Slovakia is talking about is a conspiracy by some countries to legitimize the stay of their military on the territory of Ukraine, and Fico does not want to participate in this conspiracy,” RIA Novosti quotes Belik.
At the same time, he stressed that among Western leaders, Fico is one of the few who are willing to fight for the interests of his country, even if his political career is at stake.
