Studio Ghibli has shared images of Hayao Miyazaki’s new full-length anime, How Do You Do?. The photo was published by Entertainment Weekly. In Japan, the cartoon was released on July 14.
The studio deliberately abandoned the usual promotional campaign. In “How are you?” there was no trailer or synopsis. Before the release of the image, viewers could only see one poster. This film, inspired by Yoshino Genzaburo’s 1937 short story of the same name, is likely to be 82-year-old Hayao Miyazaki’s last directing effort.
The cartoon tells about a boy named Mahito, who meets an unusual heron in the village and ends up in a fantasy world. The Russian Reporting company will release the film in Russian distribution. The release date will be announced later.
As a reminder, Studio Ghibli cartoons are available on Okko’s online cinema starting July 1. Among them are “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”, “My Neighbor Totoro”, “Princess Mononoke” and “Spirited Away”.
