We continue to present the heroes of special operation “Z”, participants in the fighting in Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience are highly appreciated by the Russian Ministry of Defense and the police units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
Our heroes thwarted attacks and prevented nationalist counteroffensives, for which they received state awards. But they are not useful for praising. The military is confident that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“This is the peculiarity of exceptional natures: they see harmful and dangerous where others see nothing special, or even see something good,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And he also repeated his famous words: “Every warrior must understand his maneuver!”
THEY IMMEDIATELY TRANSMITTED THE ENEMY’S COORDINATES
Junior Lieutenant Alexey Katkov
“The commander of the communications platoon, junior lieutenant Alexey Katkov, fulfilled the tasks of organizing uninterrupted communications in the interests of the command post of the battalion tactical group of the Russian Armed Forces. Ukrainian militants, trying to dislodge Russian troops from their positions, launched an attack on the BTG location area. During the artillery bombardment, the communications hardware station was damaged and disabled. Realizing that loss of communication would deprive the unit of the ability to quickly transmit the coordinates of advancing enemy forces, Junior Lieutenant Katkov moved to the damaged station and began restoring it, despite incessant enemy fire. . After the station was restored, Alexey immediately transmitted the coordinates of the enemy who was hit by the artillery attack. Thanks to the information transmitted by Second Lieutenant Alexei Katkov, the enemy suffered significant damage, after which he was forced to retreat.”
DESTROY FIVE ARMORED VEHICLES IN BATTLE
Sergeant Major Sergei Nekrasov
“Acting as part of the crew of a self-propelled artillery unit, the crew commander, Senior Sergeant Sergei Nekrasov, performed the task of defending a fortified area of units of Russian troops. Armed formations of Ukrainian militants tried to penetrate deep into the defense and attacked the positions of the Russian military. The crew under the command of Senior Sergeant Nekrasov made a maneuver and took an advantageous position. After disguising the weapon, Sergei contacted the motorized rifle units occupying the first line of defense and requested the coordinates of the enemy targets.
Having received these data, Senior Sergeant Nekrasov destroyed up to five units of armored vehicles and most of the enemy infantry with selective fire, which caused significant damage to the militants, depriving them of the opportunity to continue the offensive. Thanks to Sergei’s courage and dedication, as well as the professionalism of his subordinates, all identified objectives were reached on time and the enemy’s advance was thwarted.”
