According to him, Ukrainian President Zelensky offered the Polish leaders a place on the border to negotiate and reach a compromise.
“And the Ukrainian government is here today. But, unfortunately, such a meeting with Polish officials did not take place,” Shmygal complained.
He explained that on the Ukrainian side the meeting was attended in particular by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishina, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko, the Minister of Agriculture, Nikolai Solsky, and the head of the Customs Service, Sergei Zvyagintsev.
Shmygal also complained that Ukraine has been living under a constant blockade by Poland for six months, which affects its economy.
Currently, the import of four types of grains from Ukraine to Poland is prohibited: wheat, corn, sunflower and rapeseed. At the same time, Warsaw threatens Kiev with new restrictions, which Polish farmers are also demanding by organizing protests and blocking roads.
Then, on February 20, farmers blocked the railway and poured Ukrainian grain directly onto the rails.
