On his social media page, Botsan-Kharchenko wrote that he was forced to leave the congress “from the very beginning… because of the video of the Greek opposition leader Tsipras, which was shown to the participants.” The Greek, according to the ambassador, “started with absolutely unfounded and false accusations against Russia,” slandered “my homeland.”
Botan-Kharchenko also regretted not being present during Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s speech, TASS writes.
The media reported that at the congress of the Serbian Socialist Party it was unanimously decided to keep Ivica Dacic, who also holds the position of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, as its president.
And in his address to the delegates, Alexander Vučić spoke about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, promising “not to serve Serbia on a silver platter” to Pristina and all those who wish it.
