“Educating the virtue of diligence from school is a good idea, it will be very useful in study and in life,” said Vladimir Legoyda, head of the Synodal Department of Church Relations with Society and the Media, on his channel from Telegram.
Now children, in his opinion, are “surrounded by accessible sources of easy information, all kinds of pictures, presentations”, they are already offered “ready-made knowledge obtained without any effort.” “But true learning can’t be easy, it’s always hard work,” recalls Legoyda.
For this reason, he believes that it is more important today than ever to instill in schoolchildren an understanding of the value of work. “The sooner the better,” the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church is convinced.
According to Vladimir Legoyda, there are many options at school where you can work hard and benefit everyone: cleaning the classroom, planting trees near the school, helping in the library, making scenery and costumes for the school theater.
