The traffic jam in front of the entrance to the Crimean bridge from the Kuban at 11 am on Sunday, July 2 stretched for seven kilometers. Drivers and passengers spend about five hours waiting for the inspection. This was announced by the Minister of Transport of Crimea Nikolay Lukashenko.
In the opposite direction, according to the minister, there is no traffic jam. The length of the queue of cars going from the Crimea to the Krasnodar Territory is about 100 meters, and the wait lasts 10 minutes.
The number of inspection posts on the bridge has been increased. This morning, part of the workers were sent from the Crimean side to Krasnodar.
– Tail growth has stopped at this time. Inspection work is being optimized, the Crimean Ministry of Transport reported.
On July 1, it was reported that traffic jams in front of the Crimean bridge on the Kuban side had increased to nine kilometers. In the afternoon, the queue was reduced to five kilometers by speeding up the inspection.
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation explained the formation of traffic jams by an increase in the number of cars heading to Crimea, as well as carrying out baggage checks. The department recommended, if possible, to refrain from approaching the Crimean bridge until the situation normalizes. And in order for manual inspection to be faster, we were advised to pack things in advance in bags that are convenient for unloading.
