In Russia, only one voting day was held. It affected only 85 regions, almost all of which are part of the country. These were elections at completely different levels: somewhere it was determined who would be the mayor, somewhere additional deputies were elected to the State Duma (for example, in the Lipetsk region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Karachay-Cherkessia and Crimea), somewhere the head of the region.
Thus, the governor or head was elected in 21 regions at once, including the mayor of Moscow (it is a city of federal importance). And in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the leader was elected by vote in parliament; The current governor, Dmitry Artyukhov, was re-elected there. And overall, in no region did voters carry a single sitting governor.
NO NEED TO HURRY
These are still preliminary results. The final ones will not be available until Tuesday afternoon. And the point is not that it will take so long to count the votes. This is the demand of the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova:
“It is absolutely unacceptable for someone to summarize the results on Monday. If there are no complaints, not before the second half of Tuesday,” he said at a press conference addressing members of local electoral commissions.
Ella Pamfilova also addressed the international observers who worked in Russia on the Single Voting Day. She thanked them for her bravery and her desire to objectively assess the situation:
“Thank you very much for the fact that, despite all the anti-Russian atmosphere that exists in the West, despite the pressure and pressure, you were not afraid of anything. You are very brave people. What is important for you is the truth, the desire not to succumb to manipulation, to see everything with your own eyes, to communicate with living people, to understand their pain, their feelings, their fate, as highly qualified specialists in the electoral field. . , to draw conclusions openly and objectively on this matter. We admire your bravery, your audacity and we thank you very much,” Pamfilova said.
The president of the Central Electoral Commission also referred to the remote electronic voting (DEG) system. He noted that his tests were carried out in real mode on the eve of the presidential campaign. In turn, the president of United Russia, Dmitri Medvedev, has already stated that starting tomorrow the party begins to prepare for the presidential elections, which must be approached “as mobilized as possible.” At the same time, Pamfilova noted that remote electronic voting will be used in the presidential elections in those regions that have experience.

DID MOSCOW ELECT SOBYANIN?
Meanwhile, the deputy head of the Central Election Commission Nikolai Bulaev has already congratulated Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on his victory. According to the results of the decryption of the online vote, he obtained more than 2 million votes, with the candidate of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Leonid Zyuganov, coming second.
The Moscow City Election Commission found a high turnout in the capital: 42.5%. At the same time, in the 2018 mayoral elections, turnout was almost 31%. In total, almost 3 million 300 thousand people participated in the elections.
