According to RIA Novosti, 493,166 euros were raised on the Gofundme website in two days, while the initial goal was 50,000 euros. More than 24 thousand people participated in the donations.
At the same time, donations are being collected at another site for the mother of the murdered teenager. There they raised 76,323 euros. About 5,000 people helped.
On Tuesday morning, a 17-year-old teenager was shot dead by police officers during a traffic stop in Nanterre, who refused to comply with their demands. A 38-year-old police officer has been charged with premeditated homicide.
After that, riots broke out in various cities of France, which cannot be stopped for several days. According to the Ministry of the Interior, about 3.8 thousand cars were burned throughout the country, as well as police and government buildings. They looted some 250 bank branches, 200 grocery stores and about 10 shopping centers. In the town of L’Ail-le-Rose, the mayor’s house was attacked. In total, some three thousand people were arrested, many of them minors.
