Next week, from September 21 to 24, the annual New Star Weekend 2023 autumn festival will take place in Rosa Khutor. An exciting adventure at New Star Weekend will be Party Hike with Anton Belyaev. On September 23, trekking participants, in the company of a stellar guide, will climb mountain trails to an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level. The final point of the tour will be an experimental stage where the performer will perform.
Participants will also enjoy a unique skate ramp in the shape of a huge wave and a street community created around it. In the atmosphere of the iconic Balinese skate spot Pretty Poison, a series of amateur and professional competitions will take place in the format of a spectacular jam. In these types of competitions, where the main thing is style and the ability to “read” the figure, the best runners will receive prizes from DC SHOES. This tournament, like Party Hike, will also support the SuperStep sneaker store network. Another place for lovers of extreme recreation will be BMX Action with the support of S7 Airlines. Various ROXY group yoga asanas will help you regain energy between activities.
Those interested will be able to test their strength and set a personal record in the uphill cycling race along the Alpine highway from Rosa Dolina to the Olympic Mountain Village. PEAK CLIMB RIDE 1100 will unite cycling enthusiasts of different levels on a single track. Traditionally, it will be carried out with the support of the project on fashion, culture and sport – Peak.
Musical immersion
The New Star Weekend line-up includes more than 50 artists. The organizing team is preparing a large-scale music program together with Yandex Plus. Also on the main stage on the Avenue of Flags will be “Gorkovskaya metro station”, ESSAII, Kedr Livanskiy and Flaty. The festival’s nightlife will center on the helipad, reinvented by international studio SETAP. There, under the starry sky on the Escape stage, Mashkov, Errortica, Reptiloid, Mutabor Residents, Arma17 and others will play on the console. Traditionally, on the Local Stage you can listen to the work of local DJs and representatives of the southern scene. Yandex Food will build a food court at the festival for the first time. In the courtyard of the Grusha restaurant there will be food trucks where you can try local specialties. It is here where participants will gather at a large table to learn about and taste local cuisine.
Beeline, which becomes the top tier of the festival, will be responsible for opening new locations and expanding infrastructure. The team organizes several activities at the same time. You can get interesting products and set up an installation at Pchillout, music master classes will be held in a relaxed atmosphere in the bamboo forest, and basketball exercises will help you start the morning cheerfully. Lovers of active leisure will be able to try the rodelbahn and SUP on the lake.
In the festival merchandise shop you can get personalized souvenirs, buy official products and necessary items, and also meet the artists. Such a creative and multifunctional space will be located in the arch between the Callejón de las Banderas and the Grusha restaurant. Concept films will be screened at Rider’s Lodge with the support of Yandex Plus, Beat Film Festival and Kinopoisk. The theater’s lineup includes: “PJ Harvey: A Dog Called Money,” “Rave in Iran” and “Studio 54.”
Various art objects will also appear at the festival. These include “Nugget” from AllTime and an industrial cascade from the new Internet encyclopedia RUVIKI, which, together with the Impresario team, will perform a “Sing, Dance” dance audio tour with test elements.
How to get there and where to live?
The year-round Rosa Khutor complex is located 50 kilometers from Adler International Airport in Sochi and is convenient for its transport accessibility. Here there are direct flights from different parts of the country and foreign cities. There are also direct trains to Sochi from all over Russia. For those who decide to get to the resort by personal car, on the territory of the lower base of the Rosa Dolina resort there are several parking lots with a total capacity of more than 1,500 cars.
The most convenient accommodation option this weekend will be hotels located at an altitude of 1100 meters. Staying at the Olympic Mountain Village, you will always be at the epicenter of the action from early in the morning until late at night. For those who prefer sleep and silence, hotels on the lower level of the complex, in Rosa Dolina, on the banks of the Mzymta River, are suitable.
