American rapper Travis Scott has set a new record on Spotify. His new album “Utopia” became the most played album of the year in just one day. The service confirmed this information, but did not reveal the exact numbers.
The service’s representatives added that all 19 tracks from the album ranked first on the Spotify Top 20 chart. In first place is “Meltdown” featuring Drake in shape. According to the Genius site, in this song, Scott insulted Timothée Chalamet, with whom his former lover Kylie Jenner is now in a relationship.
Utopia is Scott’s fourth studio effort and his first LP in five years. Beyonce, Playboy Carty, James Blake, Justin Vernon from Bon Iver and others participated in its recording.
Travis Scott previously released a video for the song “God’s Country,” which is featured on his new album “Utopia.” The rapper barely appears in the frame, except in the first few seconds of the video, when he takes the camera away from the operator and points it at the others.
