Prosecutors charge Trump with conspiring to “deceive the United States, conspiring to obstruct official proceedings, and conspiring against the counting of votes.” Trump is expected to appear before Justice of the Peace Moxila A. Upadhyaya around 4 p.m. (11 p.m. ET).
Trump also faces charges in a separate case brought by special counsel Jack Smith, accusing him of mishandling national secrets after leaving the White House. Trump has denied any wrongdoing at all the cases.
