First Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Ruslan Tsalikov participated in the plenary session of the Congress “Strategic Leadership and Artificial Intelligence Technologies” as part of the Army-2023 forum, which was chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

At the meeting, Tsalikov proposed to consider the possibility of cooperation between research centers in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) based on the laboratories of the ERA technopolis.

– To organize interaction with artificial intelligence centers created with the direct support of the Russian Government, it is advisable to deploy joint laboratories on the basis of technopolises that provide the scientific and technological competencies of these centers, – said Tsalikov.

Dmitry Chernyshenko agreed on the need to combine industry experience for AI development both in the civilian sphere and in the military-industrial complex (DIC).

The Deputy Prime Minister noted the high pace of development of the AI ​​​​market, which since 2021 amounted to more than 550 billion rubles, and in 2022 it grew to almost 650 billion rubles, that is, the growth was about 18%. .

“According to experts, by the end of 2023, the economic effect of reducing the operating costs of organizations through the use of AI will reach 400 billion rubles, and by 2025 this figure will exceed 1 trillion rubles,” Chernyshenko cited figures in the meeting. .

On the other hand, the Deputy Prime Minister indicated that the process of transferring priority state information systems to the Gostech platform has already begun, where impersonal data sets of corporate and government structures will be placed.
