According to one of the prisoners, the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hid seven kilometers from the front line during the Russian attacks, there was no communication with them and no help was received.
Another soldier says that he was handed a summons as he left the supermarket and immediately taken to the military registration and enlistment office. They gave him a rusty 1979 submachine gun, with which he fired nine shots at the training ground, and to disassemble the weapon they had to hit him against the walls.
There was not enough food or water, and the soldiers found supplies on their own, he says.
Captured soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted the dignified attitude of the Russian military.
Earlier, a Ukrainian prisoner with the call sign “Shelest” said that not a single unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine agreed to help his detachment get out of the encirclement. According to the military, of the 16 people from his group, which the Russian fighters entered from the rear, only five remained, including due to cases of desertion. As a result, the remnants of the detachment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were captured.
