The Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo and the world famous Parisian Louvre Museum have teamed up to host the UT Grand Prix (UTGP). This year it will take place under the motto “Discoveries made at the Louvre”. Hypebae writes about it.
When creating projects, artists and designers are encouraged to draw inspiration from museum masterpieces such as Nika of Samothrace, Liberty Leading the People, and Mona Lisa. In the process of creative research, it is important to rework famous works and look at classical art in a new way.
The winner of the 2024 UTGP Grand Prix will receive $20,000 and a personalized tour of the Louvre. The best works of the participants will be printed on Uniqlo t-shirts from the spring-summer 2024 collection.

As a reminder, the theme of the UTGP 2020 competition was the phrase “Draw your world”. The artists who determined the winner were chosen by the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
