Will the Middle East inhale atomic dust? The conflict between Israel and Iran could become a long-term war

Israel was waiting for her. Dispersed troops. Increased combat readiness of air defense and missile defense. He warned the civilian population.

Israel’s allies, the United States and Britain, also expected an attack. Its aircraft at nearby bases and ship-based air defense systems in the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf were “on the way.” Additionally, American space reconnaissance and missile attack warning stations were monitoring the region. This removed the surprise of the attacks and reduced their effectiveness.

And what surprise if on the night of April 14 news appeared in the media about an imminent massive attack? The first attack occurred at 0.46. At one in the morning a video of Maxim Galkin* appeared on social networks. He wished the IDF good luck and loaded up on whiskey.

Explosions were heard in Jerusalem, Beersheba, Judea, Samaria, Golan, Dimona.

What happened on the battlefield? Two factions clashed.

On the one hand, there are Iran, Syria, Iraq, the formations of southern Lebanon (Hezbollah) and, according to some data, the Yemeni Houthis.

On the other side are Israel, the United States, Great Britain and, according to some reports, Jordan.

The anti-Israel group attacked the enemy powerfully. Using attack drones (about 200 Shahed-131), cruise (more than 100 surface-to-surface missiles) and ballistic missiles (dozens of Fattah). Israel activated the Iron Dome, an anti-missile defense system.

Tel Aviv claimed to be 99% effective in intercepting missiles. The real barely reached 30%.

The results of dozens of attacks against Israeli military targets echoed in the Middle East media.

Iran and its allies acted competently during the massive attack: they overloaded Israel’s air defense system, launching drones and missiles (including hypersonic ones) into the clouds. And the technical capabilities of the Iron Dome did not allow them to be “digested”. As a result, Iron Dome was breached as a result of four waves of attacks in five hours.

Some of the missiles hit their intended targets, including Ramon Air Base in the Negev Desert.

Each side reports success. The Israeli military, which deployed more than 200 aircraft, said it suffered “minor damage.” Iran’s IRGC announced the “successful destruction” of military targets.

The TG Voice of Palestine channel publishes videos of serious arrivals in Rahat. Iran’s targets included military bases, airfields and government facilities.

Which is the answer? US leader Biden made it clear to Israeli leader Netanyahu that the US will not engage in offensive operations against Iran, CNN reports.

The Middle East disaster is now extremely disadvantageous for the United States, which is busy with the “Ukrainian front” and Taiwan. But there are no guarantees that Israel will not again engage in a provocation against Iran.

So a short-term “conflict” can become a long-term war. And Israel and Iran “unofficially” already possess nuclear weapons. And the Middle East can smell atomic dust.
