The architecture firm Zaha Hadid is building a new skyscraper in China. The 210-meter building will be located in the city of Xi’an. Hypebeast writes about it.
In the city, considered one of China’s technology hubs, Zaha Hadid Architects will build a curved skyscraper with a cascade of interior terraces. It will occupy an area of 127.2 thousand square meters, and offices and shops will be located inside. The object, according to the project, complies with environmental standards: a cladding was chosen for the facade that reduces energy consumption. Other environmental aspects include sensors and photovoltaic cells for the use of renewable energy, a natural ventilation system, and rainwater harvesting technology.
The construction of the Daxia Tower is expected to start soon.
Recall that previously Zaha Hadid’s architectural office presented a project for three metro stations in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. Its opening was announced for 2025.
