The United States Secret Service closed the case of the discovery of cocaine in the White House. Investigators were unable to identify its owner. Zakharova compared this to the 2018 Skripal poisoning investigation.
“Such a case cannot be solved from a photograph of dead ducks in a pond in a couple of days. Here it is a complicated matter, you can get away with it,” he emphasized on his Telegram channel.
“Do you think it will be the same with the blowing up of the Nord Stream?” Zakharova concluded.
Earlier Thursday, CNN reported that the US Secret Service had examined visitor logs and security camera footage. However, they were unable to identify the suspect among the hundreds of people who visited the West Wing in the days before the cocaine discovery. He also failed to pinpoint the time or day the cocaine was left in the White House storage room.
Recall that the cocaine was discovered on June 2 in a storage room in the West Wing of the White House near the Oval Office and US President Joe Biden’s administration offices.
