The anime basket fever is hitting theaters with The First Slam Dunk, a film based on the anime/manga by Takehiko Inoue that is already getting good ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
On the one hand, the press rated The First Slam Dunk a “fresh 100%” (based on 22 reviews), while the general public rated it 97%. We gave The First Slam Dunk ending (9/10) that this film crowns the 20+ year history of Slam Dunk as the masterpiece of its author Takehiko Inoue.
“First Slam Dunk” opened in Japan in December last year and has been number one at the Japanese box office for several weeks in a row. In Mexico, the premiere took place on July 27, 2023, and in other Latin American countries, the film will be released in theaters on August 3.
