German specialist Hans-Dieter Flick has left his position as coach of the German national team. He was fired after a tough friendly defeat against Japan (1-4).
According to the German Football Federation (DFB), the team’s general manager, Rudi Feller, will lead the team in the friendly match against France.
Flick, 58, will take charge of the German national team in 2021 after his phenomenal performance with Bayern, helping them win the Bundesliga, the German Cup and the Champions League.
It was previously reported that Flick’s likely replacement would be former Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann.
