“Ural” himself spoiled all chances to equalize. And Tiknizyan scored again!
Lokomotiv and Ural started the season in opposite ways. The first barely escaped defeat in the match with Rubin, the second dealt with CSKA. But that was the RPL, and now it’s the turn of the Russian Cup. And here everything turned out differently.
Globally, the first half was divided into two stages, with the exception of the first minutes and the end. At first Loko, as they are usually favorites in home games, seized the advantage, but this was short-lived. Very quickly, Ural seized the initiative and did not give it up for almost half the time.
Already in the eighth minute, Ural opened the scoring. The goal came after one out: the guests quickly played the ball and it turned out to be a cross to the far post, where Mario Mitai missed Timur Ayupov. The second goal in two games for the newcomer Ural in the new season!
Loko’s problems did not end there. Ural could easily score the second – just two minutes later Alexei Kashtanov had a great chance and other players had chances. And Loko has problems in the center of defense. A couple of defenders have changed compared to the match with Rubin – Egor Pogostnov and Ivan Kuzmichev instead of Lucas Fasson and Evgeny Morozov – and the suffering continued. Ural, on the other hand, felt very confident in that environment and generally controlled the game.

And then Loko’s slow recovery began. At first, the team only learned to approach the penalty area and hit the goal, sometimes passing, sometimes covering the blows. All attacking play during this period was based on individual actions. An excellent example – the moment of Dmitry Barinov, who was released under the attack of Ilya Samoshnikov, who overcame four defenders.
At that time, the second stage began. Another wake-up call for Ural was Wilson Isidore’s one-on-one after a smart pass from Anton Miranchuk – Ilya Pomazun saved. But in the next moment, no one saved. Isidor scored on the second attempt, and curiously. How did the ball enter the goal?
After the goal, Loko finally came to life. The team began to act more actively in front and successfully entered the penalty area. Ural, on the other hand, turned out to be locked up and could not even get out to the opponent’s half of the field; after the loss, the opponent immediately resorted to counter-pressure and created chances. But the third goal in the first half did not come.

During the break, Viktor Goncharenko made two substitutions, but instead of tipping the game in his favor, Ural conceded. Moreover, it was his own fault: Mingiyan Beveev was terribly “circumcised”, Isidor cut off the pass into the penalty area, and Nair Tiknizyan effectively closed. Loko’s obvious advantage lasted until about the middle of the half, after which Ural still came to his senses. The game has become equal. Loko had a little more chances, but Ural acted no less sharply. Ilya Lantratov will definitely agree to this, because he had to make two super saves in just a few minutes.
Very close to the goal was the ‘Ural’ at the end. And, perhaps, Andrey Egorychev had the best moment; he probably doesn’t know himself how he missed the goal after a perfect pass to Guilherme Shettine. And the final lump did not lead to anything. Even Pomazun didn’t help, running into Loko’s penalty area for two corners just before the final whistle.
In short, the match turned out to be extremely contentious. Both teams had periods of total advantage, which revealed the rival’s problems. In the case of Loko, rather, the class decided.
