What does the viewer expect from the next “Fast and Furious”? Definitely not street racing and a logical plot. “Fast and the Furious” has long been a nonsensical blockbuster, where the characters fly into space in a wheelbarrow and push the warhead into the side of the car. Nobody counts the number of violated laws of physics – everyone turns off their brains and is fascinated by the next crazy trick.
The secret of the franchise is that it understood its own stupidity and released something new over and over again. Are you used to traffic accidents? Get the rain off the cars. Tired of jumping over holes? Now the car flies between skyscrapers. Do heroes constantly fall into the abyss? And here they are falling out of the plane, sitting behind the wheel.

The problem is that in the ninth part, the authors hit the ceiling and ran out of ideas. How to beat a space odyssey? Not time travel! Therefore, in the new movie, the Fast and the Furious team lowered the bar and produced a mediocre movie. It won’t be unbearably boring, but it’s time to complete the family history.

One example is enough to describe the action in the tenth “Fast and the Furious”. At the beginning of the film, the heroes go to Rome and intercept an armored car with a powerful bomb. Do not ask why weapons are transported through the center of the world capital and why they are hardly guarded. For what is necessary!
Soon the bomb is dropped and begins to squeak suspiciously. Dominic immediately hooks her to a rope and drags her through Rome. In turns, the charge flies in different directions, destroying buildings and miraculously not harming the townspeople. The scene looks spectacular, but… this is Fast and the Furious 5. Replace the explosives with a safe and get an operation in Brazil, which is also carefully remembered in the plot.
But the heroes speed up and shoot down a helicopter with a wheelbarrow. It’s funny, but in the previous parts they rammed a fighter with an ambulance. The whole film is imbued with such a secondary nature: no matter what mayhem is taking place in the frame, you’ve already seen it.

Although the main problem is that the autoreplays look bad. Previously, the directors arranged real shootings. In fact, they dumped dozens of cars from the parking lot, drove the safe through the streets, and hauled sports cars off the plane. Now the action is filled with shooting against the background of a green wall, which is painted by graphics specialists.
At the same time, there were fewer driving episodes. Do you remember the best moments of the ninth part? Wild rides in Georgia, crazy zip lining, magnet chasing, superhero shootouts, that same space trip. And in Fast and the Furious 10 there are only three notable action scenes – the rest of the time in the frame there are boring fights and stupid talk.
The problem with the lack of creativity and emphasis on graphics is easy to explain. “Fast and the Furious 10” was born in pain: the creators argued until they were hoarse, the director left at the beginning of filming, filming was suspended, and the money went down the drain. Not surprisingly, the novelty came out weak; however, the circumstances should not concern the viewer. He paid the ticket and craves the show, but gets the mediocrity.

Of course, “Fast and the Furious” did not become a resounding failure, but the old new parts were waiting, and now the series finally became a passerby cohort.

The story of “Fast and Furious” has long been in the background, but a tenth of it goes beyond any limits. So many nonsense and runny dialogues in the series have not yet been. From the opening scenes, Dominic Toretto pours out childish quotes, shares his fears for the loss of his family, longs for the robberies of the past, and is nostalgic for his grandmother. Everyone does this kind of self-reflection!
Do not forget about the intrigues in the organization, led by the new Mister Nobody. Employees arguing about Dominic’s team, discussing tactics and organizing votes – all this creates terrible boredom. If I want to hear interesting dialogue, I’ll put on “Pulp Fiction” or “Snatch”. But from “Fast and the Furious” I am waiting for a crazy attraction, which this time does not work.
At the same time, the plot is nonsense, it poorly explains the movement of the heroes around the world and leads nowhere. Not a single arc was closed in the 10th movie, but stretched out for two hours, setting up two more movies for some reason (yes, now the 12th Fast and the Furious, not the 11th, will be the last).

Also, the characterization is terrible. Do you remember brother Dominic from the last part? He was a tough man with a serious childhood injury and big ambitions. He returns in Fast & Furious 10, but this time he doesn’t look like himself. John Cena seems to be playing the Peacemaker, not Toretto Jr.: he’s kind, cheerful, and completely forgot that he almost killed the entire family recently.
Perhaps the only credit to the story is the villain Dante, played by Jason Momoa. The feeling that on the screen there is an updated version of the Joker, making crazy speeches, making faces and creating whole games. The clown’s behavior is contrasted with cruel acts: Dante kills, cunningly manipulates, and outmaneuvers Toretto’s team time and time again.
In the end, it’s good to follow the villain. He has dubious motivation, and Momoa sometimes overdoes it, but there’s never been scum on this level in Fast and the Furious. Every time Dante appears in the frame, he becomes funny; it’s a shame other characters have been given so much more time.

Is Fast and Furious 10 worth watching?
If you’re looking for a no-nonsense blockbuster with a couple of spectacular action scenes, check out the new Fast and the Furious; most importantly, don’t expect the old creativity and craziness. It’s not a shame to miss out on such a movie, though: all too often the characters chat and repeat past tricks.
The authors should put themselves together or finish the saga as soon as possible. If the following parts remain the same, the audience will fall asleep in the theater.
