On Monday, “Championship” reported that the main candidate to replace Abascal is the Dutchman Pascal Jansen. Spartak sports director Tomás Amaral is in favor of his appointment. The names of other specialists appear in the Russian media: Stanislav Cherchesov and Valery Karpin, but, according to our information, Karpin is not on the list of candidates.
Chairman of the board of directors Oleg Matytsin is in favor of Cherchesov’s appointment, while Amaral promotes Jansen. There is no Russian on the club’s sports director’s short list; In addition to the Dutch coach, there is also Vladimir Ivich.
