The meeting took place on Sunday in Yekaterinburg. Dynamo coach Marcel Licka, after the defeat in the match against Spartak, returned goalkeeper Anton Shunin to the lineup, while Igor Leshchuk remained in the reserve.
The home team took the lead in the 10th minute. The Urals took a corner kick, Daniel Miskic picked up the ball and shot directly at the goal.
Dynamo got the goal back in the 34th minute. Konstantin Tyukavin escaped from Emerson and sent the ball into the top corner. After studying the video replay, the VAR determined that the Moscow club player was not in an offside position.
In the second half of the match, the teams created many more scoring chances. But at the decisive moment there was a lack of precision or the goalkeepers and defenders acted reliably.
But in the fifth minute of extra time, after a big mistake by the Dynamo defense, Alexey Kashtanov gave the Urals the victory. However, the goal was counted after the VAR referees were satisfied that the home team player was not offside.
Kashtanov violently expressed his emotions and was sent off the field for receiving a second yellow card.
