As a result of the vote on the case of the return of national symbols to the Russians, 32 delegates supported the decision, 13 opposed it, and 25 abstained.
“On August 28, at the congress of the International Esports Federation, after a vote, the delegates annulled the decision of the congress according to which Russian athletes could not compete in international competitions under their own flag,” the federation said in a statement. release.
Russian esports players have been banned from participating in international competitions under their own flag since April 18, 2022.
