Six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker has married his girlfriend Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro.
This is the third marriage for Becker, 56. Monteiro is 22 years younger than the legendary German tennis player, which does not prevent them from living in a complete idyll.

Becker and Monteiro’s wedding ceremony took place in the Italian resort town of Portofino. Around 150 guests attended the three-day celebration. Among them were ATP director Andrea Gaudenzi, former footballers Rud Gullit and Paolo Maldini, actor Boris Kodjoe and others.
Becker did not want the ceremony to be too open to the media, but some photos of the wedding were nevertheless leaked to the Internet thanks to the guests. In particular, former German tennis player and coach Barbara Rittner shared a photo of Boris and Liliana, congratulating the couple on their important day.

Ruud Gullit was also very active. The legendary footballer had a great time in Portofino and posted many photos with Becker, Monteiro and the guests.

Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, 34, is a well-known PR consultant and political risk manager in Italy. The couple started dating in 2020. She lives and works in Milan, but is originally from the small African island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe.
The girl has three higher education degrees and speaks five languages. Her father, Victor Monteiro, was the Minister of Defense of Sao Tome and Principe and ran for president in 2014, but lost the election. Lilian comes from a wealthy and influential family, but she herself is fully realized in life. This is not the case at all when a young woman marries an older man for money.

First of all, Becker’s financial viability is in doubt. Becker declared bankruptcy in 2017 with a total debt of approximately 50 million pounds. In 2022, the legendary tennis player was sentenced in the UK to 2.5 years in prison for hiding assets worth 3 million dollars, after which Becker spent eight months in prison. He was deported to Germany. In May 2024, Becker’s bankruptcy status was removed. The tennis player was unable to fully pay off his debts of 50 million pounds, but the court concluded that he had done everything possible to pay off his creditors. Right now Boris is not a bag of money. At the end of last year he became Holger Rune’s coach, but he worked with the young Dane for only a few months and left in February 2024. Now Boris works as a TV pundit during major tennis tournaments, so he is not the owner of a cosmic fortune.

It is important to note that Becker met Monteiro at the most critical moment of her life, namely during her imprisonment. Many girls would have left such a troubled man, but Lillian acted differently. After her release in December 2022, Boris called Monteiro “the love of her life” and noted that “she survived imprisonment thanks to her love.”
Boris Becker has four children. Sons from his first marriage with Barbara Feltus – Noah (born in 1994) and Elias (1999) attended their father’s wedding in Portofino. His daughter Anna was born in 2000 from an unofficial relationship with Russian waitress Angela Ermakova. And in 2010, during his second marriage with Dutch model Lilly Kersenberg, his youngest son Amadeus was born. Boris and Lilian are very happy with their relationship, so we can expect a new addition to the family of the legendary tennis player very soon. He gave clear hints of this even after his release from prison in 2022.
“The only thing that motivates me is the children. I hope I can spend the rest of my life happily with Lillian in peace and quiet. I’m happy, I’m motivated,” Becker said.
