It’s been almost a year and a half since FIFA allowed RPL players to suspend contracts. Many of those who did not want to play in Russia have already resolved issues with the clubs. CSKA: Bistrovich returns after 2.5 years, Shkurin in Poland, Sigurdsson doesn’t think about Russia
Horvat Bistrovic has been at CSKA since the beginning of 2018. The club believed in talent, so the compensation amount after signing was 20 million euros – a lot of money. Ilya Shkurin moved to CSKA in January 2020 as one of Belarus’ top talents. Later, everyone found out that the footballer himself did not really want to go to Russia. Sigurdsson is another long-term lease story. He left Russia in the summer of 2021, when Venice took him away for a year. A year later, the Icelander terminated the contract and went to Swedish Norrköping. Recently, a new suspension and the signing of an agreement with Blackburn. He will probably leave CSKA as a free agent next summer.
