St. Petersburg “Zenith” appealed to the ESC RFU about several episodes in the second round match with “Rostov”.
According to the ‘Championship’, first of all, the club studies the legality of dismissing the team’s head coach, Sergei Semak, after the final whistle. In Yevhen Kukulyak’s official protocol, the reason for red-carding the guest coach is “entering the pitch in a confrontational manner.”
Semak himself, in an interview with Soviet Sport, said that in an absolutely calm tone he wanted to clarify some doubts with the referee, but he said that he could not be reached and withdrew the specialist.
We add that the match ended with a score of 1:1. Valery Karpin’s team drew the tie in the last seconds, thanks to a penalty.
