Gantz, along with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, are among three people responsible for making key military cabinet decisions during the war in Gaza. The “National Unity” remains part of the ruling coalition in Israel, the Times of Israel clarifies.
The bill’s introduction follows party leader Benny Gantz’s request to move forward with a broad agreement to hold elections in October, a year after the Oct. 7 attack, the party said in a news release.
