Governor Andrey Travnikov inspected the work of the operators of the Novosibirsk City Social Food Fair No. 1 on Bolshevik Street in Novosibirsk.
– An interesting format has been chosen for both buyers and sellers, there is demand, and in terms of numbers, for the budget, there is a benefit, because the total turnover from three fairs is 1.2 billion rubles. Today, nothing prevents us from organizing the fourth such fair – there is a proposal from specialists to open it on the Left Bank, Andrey Travnikov said. – I fundamentally support this idea, it is necessary to choose the most convenient place for your organization for the townspeople.
Now there is a regional fair and two city fairs. But, judging by the requests of buyers, there is an urgent need to expand the geography of the network of urban social food fairs.
One of the priorities of the fair project is to create conditions for the population to acquire basic foods between 20 and 40 percent cheaper. The reduction of the retail price level is achieved by freeing the companies that participate in fairs from the maintenance costs of the commercial departments. The cost of maintaining the premises, utilities including water and electricity, garbage collection, security, porter and cleaner services are reimbursed from the city budget.
