On Saturday, within the framework of the “Reserve Ecocup” festival, the premiere of the film “Caucasus Nature Reserve”, the first century, will take place. According to the director of the Caucasus State Biosphere Nature Reserve, Sergei Shevelev, the film, shot by Moscow documentary filmmakers, is a journey both in space – through a protected area where man rarely sets foot – and in time -through the pages of the History of Nature Conservation.
And on May 12, a ceremony to cancel the seal of the Caucasus Nature Reserve will take place at the Laura ecocenter. A “reserve” post office will begin to operate here and everyone will be able to send postcards with views of the reserve to any part of the country. Then, at the Southern Cultures Arboretum, a 350-year-old olive tree will be planted and the historic doors will open. A landmark event will be the installation of a bison sculpture made of hundreds of steel elements next to the reserve’s administration building.
According to the press service of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory, events dedicated to the significant date will be held throughout the entire anniversary year in Greater Sochi and the Republic of Adygea.
