Long rains caused a flood in the north of the Irkutsk region. The focus of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is the Kazachinsko-Lensky district, where an emergency regime has been declared. The water began to reach the Kirenga, Kunerma and Umbella rivers. The overflowing Kunerma washed out the Ust-Kut-Uoyan highway. Communication along the highway was interrupted, two villages Tarasovo and Nizhnemartynovo were cut off. Kirenga flooded farms in various settlements, including in the center of the district, the village of Kazachinskoye, which suffered the most. In total, the flooding inundated 53 lots and 5 houses in the area. In the affected villages there are stocks of food and medicine. The highway service of the Irkutsk region is working on the restoration of roads: it is filling the canvas and deepening the bypass channels.
