The film festival named after Vasily Lanovoy “Scarlet Sails” has ended in Artek. It has been organized by producer Irina Gromova for 31 years, and after the death of Vasily Lanovoy, actor Andrei Sokolov was elected chairman of film criticism. Every year the legendary presenter Tatyana Sudets comes to Scarlet Sails with a master class.
This year, her granddaughter flew to the Crimea with Tatyana. Well, behind the scenes of the festival, the 75-year-old host of the programs “Time”, “Blue Light”, the program “Good night, children!” told KP.RU about the tragedy he experienced in his early childhood. As it turned out, Tatyana almost died at the age of 5.
– Mom fed my 2-year-old brother Tolya, forgot to put out the tiles on the windowsill, – recalls Tatyana Sudets in an interview with KP.RU. – And I heard music outside the window, someone was being buried … I jumped onto the windowsill to see what was happening outside the window. And my dress fell on a burning tile and instantly caught fire. When my mother entered the room, I was already burning with a torch. She was burned all over, only the fire didn’t touch her hair. The doctors diagnosed a third degree burn, 75% of my body was burned.
“She won’t survive!” the doctors told my mother. They ripped my skin off. But my mother said: “Tanya will live!”
– They treated me for more than a year, my mother injected me with penicillin every hour. She saved me from death. And another grandmother advised her to apply compresses from a weak solution of potassium permanganate to burns. I don’t remember the pain, she was a patient girl, some kind of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya. Although, perhaps, I had a strong pain shock. Burn scars still remain. After all, the doctors thought that she would not survive, they stitched me up as a mistake. They took a piece of healthy skin from the leg, sewed it to the arm, where there was no place to live. I still have a big scar on my leg. I don’t know how my mom got over this. But she lived up to the moment when I became a famous person and was very proud of my success, – recalls Tatyana Sudets in an interview with KP.RU.
